Hitachi Participates in Earth Hour

Hitachi Participates in “Earth Hour” to raise awareness on Climate Change and Energy Conservation

“Earth Hour” organized by WWF started in 2007 as an international event in which people all over the world share their desire to “halt global warming” and “protect Earth's environment” by turning off their electricity on the same day at the same hour for one hour. It is the largest event in the world today, with about 190 countries participating.

Each March, Hitachi participates in this event to emphasize the importance of energy conservation and to raise awareness of climate change.

Hitachi group companies in 21 countries participated in the event from March 19-23, 2018. This reduced Hitachi’s electricity consumption by approximately 46,000 kWh.
