Hitachi Group Companies in Norman, Oklahoma Create Outdoor Environmental Classroom

Hitachi Computer Products America, Hitachi Vantara and partners created an Outdoor Environmental Classroom at Kennedy Elementary School. Hitachi created a curriculum for the classroom with games and activities including a rock garden, rain collection, solar panel to educate students about nature and conservation.

Hitachi continues to support the classroom with educational gardening, where students plant, harvest and eat their vegetables. This allowed the students to experience growing and eating what they normally would buy in the store.

Hitachi also sponsors Earth Rebirth in maintaining the outdoor gardens.
