Jaya Ramaswamy

Jaya Ramaswamy is SVP, Chief Information Officer of Hitachi America, Ltd. and GM for IT Services. Jaya joined Hitachi America in 2020 and is responsible for information technology. This includes Strategy, Enterprise Applications and Cloud Solutions, Data Management & Services Platform, Digital Solutions, E2E Architecture, Security & Risk Management and Customer Experience to support growth and business expansion across the region. As GM for IT Services, Jaya collaborates and supports Hitachi Ltd. Information Technology Strategic Division (ITSD) in formulating its global IT transformation strategies, enabling new technologies, consolidating and optimizing services between the various Hitachi business groups.

Prior to her current role, Jaya held leadership positions at Oracle and Cisco. These roles focused on global business and IT transformation initiatives - enabling subsidiaries/legal entities to support new business models, Tax and Treasury initiatives, Global ERP implementation, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Customer/Channel Partner Experience, Global Business Operations Optimization, Employee Services, Mergers and Acquisitions, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS for industry verticals. She led Enterprise Risk and Records Management strategy and framework for high tech companies. Jaya was instrumental in enabling regulatory related IT solutions at the New York Stock Exchange and Standard and Poor’s. During the early stages of her career, Jaya led IT solutions for Financial Institutions and Telecom industry.

Jaya holds Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Instrumentation. Jaya is passionate about mentoring women into leadership roles and advising IT start ups in product development and business operations.
