Shashank Samant

With over three decades of experience in the technology sector, spanning across more than twenty countries, and having founded two multi-billion-dollar global digital technology services firms, Shashank Samant now dedicates himself to guiding fellow CEOs towards success and fostering positive societal impact.

Presently serving as a strategic advisor, investor, and holding various board positions in prominent public and private companies, Shashank previously held the position of CEO and President at GlobalLogic for fourteen years. During his tenure, he facilitated numerous Fortune 1000 companies in realizing their digital aspirations, catalyzing innovation, and driving excellence in digital transformation.

Shashank holds a multitude of strategic leadership roles at Hitachi; he is currently Executive Chairman for Hitachi Digital, Executive Chairman of Hitachi America, Ltd., Chairman of the Board for GlobalLogic (a Hitachi Group Company), board member for Hitachi Energy, and serves as strategic advisor for Hitachi Ltd. Digital Solutions and Services Group.

Before his tenure at GlobalLogic, Shashank served as President of Ness Technologies, where he spearheaded the establishment and growth of their product engineering services division. Prior to that, he held the role of General Manager for Hewlett-Packard's Verifone division.

Shashank's career journey commenced at Citicorp, where he played a pivotal role in developing the FlexCube banking technology. He further contributed to the establishment of IBM's inaugural India-based software engineering lab, playing a key role in globalizing IBM's R&D and software engineering endeavors.
